Mentor Training Dates

Mentor Day is a one day training event required by all Mentors. Mentors need to attend only one of the training dates.  Mentor trainings are scheduled during weeks 4, 6, and 8 of each cycle.  Friday and Saturday training days are available.  If you are interested in becoming a Mentor please complete an Mentor Application and mail it to:

In order to serve as a volunteer Mentor for the Mountaineer ChalleNGe Academy all Mentors must attend one of the training sessions and complete the background check (fingerprints and references). This class will answer many of your questions about mentoring and the Mountaineer ChalleNGe Academy.  But even more than a requirement, Mentor Training Day is a day the Cadets look forward to by spending time with you, their Mentor.

Once the Mentor Application is received a Mentor packet with Training Schedule, General Information, Directions, Fingerprint Card and Reference Response Forms will be mailed to all applicants.
