There are two scholarship applications available:

1)  The MCA Scholarship Application applies to all scholarship funds currently available through Friends of the Mountaineer ChalleNGe Academy, Inc.

2)  The National Guard Youth Foundation Scholarship apples to all scholarship funds currently available through The National Guard Youth Foundation.

National Guard Youth Foundation Scholarship
Through the efforts of the Foundation, businesses and industries can become active contributors to those youth who are working to change their lives in positive and productive ways.  Sponsors include:  Merrill Lynch, Wal-Mart Foundation, SAIC, National Interest Security Company, HealthNet, Information Manufacturing Corporation, Kaseman LLC.

PROMISE Scholarship
The PROMISE Scholarship is a merit-based financial aid program for West Virginia residents. Students who achieve certain academic goals are eligible to receive funds to help pay for college. MCA Cadets must attain a 2750 minimum score on the High School Equivalency Examination. ACT requirements provided in the table below.

Bo Conaway Scholarship
The National Guard Youth Foundation established a memorial scholarship program in recognition of the life of Bo Conaway and his numerous contributions to assisting young apprentices entering the Trades Industry. Bo was a Master Craftsman who enjoyed sharing his considerable knowledge of the building trades with young people entering these skilled professions.

American Red Cross Scholarship
The “Making a Difference Educational Scholarship Program” is sponsored by the American Red Cross. This scholarship is eligible to schools that hold two blood drives each year.

WV Literacy Foundation Scholarship
The West Virginia Literacy Foundation, in cooperation with the Governor's Council on Literacy and the West Virginia Department of Education, offers a scholarship program for state residents who have completed / passed the High School Eqivalency Examination.

Students passing the High School Equivalency Examination with a score of 2750 and receiving an ACT composite of 22 or above may apply for a $1,000 scholarship.  Scholarship recipients will receive $500 per semester with the funds going directly to the approved university, college or technical education center.  Applications must be submitted by March 1 to the West Virginia Literacy Foundation, PO Box 2987, Charleston, WV 25330.
*To be considered for any of the above scholarships a graduate must be currently enrolled in college or a technical school and showing adequate progress towards completion of their degree or certificate.
